Meet our Advisory Board
Robert Dobrow, Ph.D.
Robert Dobrow is an associate professor of mathematics and statistics at Carleton College. He received his PH.D. in statistics and the mathematical sciences from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He is a member of the American Statistical Association and the author of numerous research pages in probability and statistics. Robert did his postdoctoral studies at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, has served as a faculty intern at the Mayo Clinic's Department of Biostatistics, and has spoken at conferences and workshops throughout the U.S. and abroad. Before he entered academia, Robert consulted for several major corporations, including American express, Merrill Lynch and Mobil Oil. He has served as an expert witness in statistics, and is a member of the Round Table Group, a consortuium of expert witneses and consultants.
Ray Graber
Ray Graber is founder and president of Graber Associates, a firm he founded in 2002 to bring expertise in banking and technology to clients in the financial services sector. Since then, the company has expanded to encompass the complementary disciplines of market research and marketing communications. Graber Associates has served clients in small business, retail, and commercial banking; software hardware, and IT within the technology and financial services sectors; public and nonprofit entities; and startup businesses.
Ray is an adjunct professor at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. He has recently taught two graduate-level courses: a newly developed course on E-Banking and the MBA Leadership Workshop. Previously, he taught the “Financial Management of Commercial Banks” in the Boston College Carroll School of Management Masters of Finance Program and “Working Capital Management” and “Cash Management” at the Bentley College Graduate Business Program.
Shelley Hall
Shelley Hall is the founder and president of Catalytic Management, a consulting firm specializing in business performance and growth consulting. Its mission is to enhance its clients' profitability by delivering customer-focused solutions for increasing revenue and improving operational efficiencies. An experienced entrepreneur, CEO, and COO, Shelley has built, reinvented and turned around companies and divisions. Her major strength lies in her ability to build teams that work together to improve margins, reduce costs and enhance quality.
Shelley is a dynamic entrepreneur, author and speaker. She is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), New England Women Business Owners (NEWBO), Small Business Association (SBA) of New England, the Worcester Chamber of Commerce and the Society of Professional Consultants (SPC). She serves on the Board of Directors of Community Work Services, Insight Performance Improvement Inc., and Stewart Travel International.
Brenda Wornum Moore
Brenda Wornum Moore is the founder and president of BWM Consulting, a management and training consulting firm that specializes in helping entrepreurners and small to mid-size companies uncover obstacles to achieving their optimal level of performance. BWM Consulting brings a wealth of experience in coaching, consulting and training to determine if the right people, systems and tools are in place to achieve the desired level of performance.
Brenda is a member of the Board of Directors of the South Shore Women’s Business Network (SSWBN), an Advisory Committee member of the Adult Learning Center and the Administrative Director for the Mt. Moriah Emergency Food Program in Brockton, MA.
Steven Smith is principal and co-founder of Business Transfers & Strategies, which provides services to individuals seeking to buy a small or mid-sized business and to companies seeking to expand through acquisition. The firm’s specialty is matching specific client requirements with acquisition targets that are not advertised for sale in the public market.
Steven's unique blend of expertise allows him to quickly recognize opportunities, skillfully negotiate business terms and successfully close transactions. His careful analysis of business information and collaborative negotiation style produces a win-win for both the buyer and the seller.
Karen Weiner
Karen Weiner is president of Hyperion Consulting Group, Inc., the successor company to Weiner Associates, which she founded in 1985. For 20 years, Karen has worked with businesses, non-profit and governmental agencies, and academia to optimize individual, team and organizational performance. She helps organizations resolve challenges, capitalize on opportunities and achieve business goals by building highly productive internal working relationships.
Karen is a former adjunct professor at Becker College where she taught training and organizational development. She is a frequent speaker and conference presenter, and she is the author of the “Leader’s Guide on Human Behavior” published by the American Management Association. Karen has appeared on radio and television discussing a range of business and communication-related challenges and strategies. She is a current member and former board member of the American Society of Training and Development-Central Massachusetts Chapter and a member of the Corridor Nine Chamber of Commerce.
